Basic 1130 window guards do not open once installed except when the mounting screws are drilled out. No locking channel or safety release pin nor screws come with this guard . Bar Spacing is 3.5 inches: Exceeds 4 inch recommended safety standard for child window bars. Bar Diameter is 5/16th Inch. Maximum protective opening: 34 inches opening height.
